Job Title: Lead Business Analyst - Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Location: Candidates should be based in a country where our client has offices (Belgium, France, Netherlands, UK). UK-based candidates must apply through an accredited umbrella company and commit to being onsite in Belgium for at least 8 days per month.

About the Role

Our client in the Financial Sector is seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Analyst to join the Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Tribe, part of the Cyber Information Security Office (CISO) Division. This team is responsible for managing all access controls across IT infrastructure to ensure that users have the right access at the right time, while maintaining compliance with security standards.

The Lead Business Analyst will play a key role in delivering new IAM systems and enhancements, acting as both a Business Analyst and Product Business Analyst within the IDAM 2.0 Programme. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and IAM domain expertise to support business needs and compliance requirements.

Key Objectives

Support the Project Lead in defining project scope, ensuring alignment with IAM objectives and constraints.

Gather, analyze, and structure requirements into a comprehensive work product.

Define clear acceptance criteria for testing and validation.

Analyze the Target Operating Model, identify implementation and migration strategies, and validate project scope.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability.

Work closely with Business and IT stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Define the approach for requirements gathering, data analysis, and data cleansing.

Create and document business processes using BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation) tools.

Contribute to solution integration, migration strategy, and parallel operation analysis.

Collaborate with change management teams to ensure new IAM solutions are successfully adopted.

Assess security risks associated with new IAM services and identify mitigation strategies.

Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and key contributors during project implementation.

Manage and mentor Business Analysts within the team, ensuring effective coordination across multiple locations.

Define a testing approach to validate the identified requirements and ensure successful implementation.

Support solution validation, testing traceability, and documentation updates (SOPs, training materials, etc.).

Ensure the operational readiness of IAM solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Business Analyst with expertise in guiding and mentoring a BA team.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, presenting) across all levels, including senior management.

Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and understand their IAM-related requirements.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Problem-solving mindset: ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Experience working in environments with continuous change.

Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Fluent in English (professional proficiency required).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience onboarding applications into an IAM tool.

Knowledge of IAM regulations and standards.

Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, ECBA, CCBA).

Business process modelling experience with tools like Adonis or Visio.

Understanding of Identity and Access Management, including access provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), joiner/mover/leaver (JML) activities, ServiceNow integrations, and access control models/policies.

Experience with data analysis tools, statistical data modelling, and data visualization techniques.
