Job Overview
Our client in the Financial Sector is seeking an experienced Java Developer to enhance and maintain a suite of enterprise applications related to XML validation and messaging. The role involves working on existing applications as well as contributing to new projects aimed at improving validation reporting and web-based monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Enhancements to Existing Applications:
Validation Tool: Implement and refine rule-based validation of XML documents against specific industry rules.
Recovery Validation Tool: Ensure correct sequencing and validation of XML tag values in recovery scenarios.
Sparring Partner: Facilitate secure exchange of XML documents over financial network protocols.
Copy Sparring Partner: Act as a central infrastructure for XML document exchanges.
New Development Projects:
Validation Consolidation: Develop a user-friendly, consolidated reporting system for validation results.
Web Console: Create a web-based interface to display real-time sparring information.
Technical Environment
Programming: Java 8, Enterprise Java
XML Management: XML document parsing and manipulation
Development Tools: IntelliJ, Bitbucket, Git
Project Management: Jira
Documentation: Confluence
Operating System: RHEL
Required Skills & Experience
Java Development: 5+ years of experience with enterprise Java applications.
XML Processing: Expertise in handling XML documents and rule-based validation.
Version Control & Collaboration: Proficiency in Bitbucket, Git, and Confluence.
Agile Workflow: Familiarity with Jira for task management.
Additional Information
Training on financial messaging protocols will be provided.
Candidates must be available on-site at least 2 days per week, depending on project needs.
