Designer Secondary Systems - LV Design Service (Electrical Affinity) (NL)
General Information
Our client, a leading company in the Energy Sector, is looking for a Designer Secondary Systems to join their Engineering team. The company manages engineering projects related to the development, expansion, and renovation of the 36 to 380 kV electricity transmission network.

Job Description
As a Designer Secondary Systems, you will be a key member of the project team, working under the Project Manager's supervision. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct Secondary Systems studies related to protection, control-command, automation, and measurement equipment for high-voltage installations within the electrical grid.

Responsibilities
Project Feasibility & Pre-Study Phase
Assist the Project Manager during feasibility studies and preliminary project phases.
Design & Study Phase
Plan and manage the timeline and deliverables for your assigned studies.
Develop protection block diagrams and detailed principle diagrams.
Contribute to the definition and selection of equipment.
Ensure study quality by using approved equipment and adhering to standards and methodologies.
Adapt and customize standard designs for specific project needs.
Conduct quality checks on externally developed detailed studies.
Review and validate manufacturer documentation.
If needed, participate in factory acceptance tests for electrical equipment.
Implementation & Execution Phase
Support the Project Manager by overseeing low-voltage (LV) site work.
Act as the primary contact for operators, suppliers, and electrical installation companies within your expertise.
Provide solutions in case of design or implementation issues on-site.
If required, attend technical site meetings, on-site tests, and commissioning activities.
Project Closure Phase
Conduct a post-project review of LV studies.
Ensure all "As-Built" documentation and schematics are updated correctly.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electricity, Electronics, or Automation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows environment).
Fluency in Dutch (mandatory).
Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
Willingness to develop expertise in a highly specialized field.
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Assertiveness and strong sense of responsibility.
High attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
