Our client, a leading company in the IT Services and Consulting sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Governance Manager to temporarily cover the absence of their fixed employee. This role involves a temporary staffing contract for approximately one year, from April 1, 2025, to May 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of a data catalogue within a manufacturing environment, ensuring alignment with the client's data governance charter.
Onboard and train Data Owners and Data Stewards as new data products are released.
Integrate data governance activities into routine business processes.
Assign ownership and stewardship of data products, ensuring accountability.
Identify and catalog key data assets across the organization.
Design and implement practical data governance solutions to improve organizational data quality and trustworthiness.
Establish data management competencies, including metadata management, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
Work closely with stakeholders to minimize data risks and promote data literacy.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a data governance role.
Proven experience in implementing a data catalogue within a manufacturing company.
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments.
Excellent training skills to support Data Owners and Data Stewards (prior experience in conducting training is a significant plus).
Ability to evaluate existing literature and best practices to lead the design and implementation of strategies or policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
DAMA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is required; proficiency in Dutch, French, or German is an additional advantage.

Location & Work Arrangement:
The candidate must live within 1 hour of Balen, Belgium, to ensure regular on-site presence.
The role requires on-site work five days per week at the client's office.

Temporary staffing contract from April 1, 2025, to May 1, 2026.
