Service Description:
Our client is actively seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer / Integration Layer Developer to join one of the platform teams in their data product cluster. The role focuses on designing and implementing solutions for effective data management while aligning with business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement solutions for effective data management (e.g., data quality tooling, master data management).
Ensure alignment between business/technical architecture and functional/non-functional client needs.
Apply best practices in data management concepts to deliver robust solutions.
Guarantee performance and trust by setting up and maintaining a continuous build and testing platform.
Collaborate with the (sub)chapter lead to support the chapter's maturity development.
Provide technical expertise and infrastructure knowledge of tools used in the data platform (e.g., Open Data Soft, queue manager, distributed cache, audit, and monitoring).
Develop and maintain dynamic, efficient documentation solutions.
Provide second and third-line support for production environments.
Requirements:
Technical Skills (Required):
.Net/Microsoft platform: 3+ years of experience.
Python development and best practices: 3+ years of experience.
Experience with integration, scheduler, audit, and trace frameworks (3+ years).
Efficient monitoring tools experience (3+ years).
Expertise in Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, Flat Files, GraphQL, and messaging-/streaming-based communication.
Strong data-centric approach and experience working in a product organization.
Administration capabilities for tools in mixed environments (Windows and Unix).
Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with:
Distributed architecture patterns (synchronous and asynchronous).
Distributed cache patterns (concepts and implementation).
Messaging and/or event streaming solutions.
Development of data integration layers.
Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
Proficiency in continuous integration development.
Supplier and procurement documentation management, with English as the working language.
Soft Skills:
Team player with an agile mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
Curious about new technologies, processes, and approaches.
Solution-oriented with the ability to think creatively and independently.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a cross-functional and self-organizing team.
Open and continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse profiles.
Additional Information:
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 31/03/2026 (with possible extension).
Work Regime: Full-time (at least 80%).
Location: Combination of home and office work (approximately one day per week in Brussels).
