Service Description
We are seeking a Backend Developer to join the EGAF (Energy Group Application Framework) product team. In this role, you will develop solutions that enhance developer productivity and experience for our client in the energy sector.
As a Backend Developer, you will work within a product team composed of a UX Designer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and three architects (.NET, Java, Python), with plans to expand the developer team further. You should be comfortable with our tech stack, adaptable to tackle challenges outside your comfort zone, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions for our internal developer community.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the EGAF product team, reporting to the Sub-Chapter.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of backend solutions, ensuring production-ready code.
Assist in the deployment of cloud-native solutions.
Participate in Agile (Scrum) project teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 7 years as a Backend Developer, with expertise in Java programming.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge in Spring, Spring Boot, and native Jakarta EE.
Strong experience in developing and implementing REST and gRPC APIs.
Skilled in SecDevOps, containerization, and CI/CD practices.
Proficiency in SQL/RDBMS and familiarity with streaming databases.
Soft Skills:
Excellent team and communication skills.
Autonomous work style with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
English proficiency (C1 or higher); French and/or German is advantageous.
Additional Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in Agile (Scrum) teams.
Cloud-native development experience is essential.
Additional Information
Work Regime: Full-time
Location: Emprereur, with occasional travel to Berlin
Requirements for Non-EU Candidates in Belgium:
Must possess a valid work permit for Belgium.
Hold a valid residence permit confirming the right to reside in Belgium.
