Our client, a leading company in the telecommunication sector, is seeking to temporarily reinforce its Group Data department with a highly skilled Privacy Legal Expert. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data protection and privacy compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and managing data-related risks.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing the company's compliance with data protection legislation, identifying potential risks of non-compliance, and reporting findings to executive leadership.
Analyze the compliance of external parties with whom the company collaborates or has partnerships.
Provide internal guidance on privacy compliance for business-specific questions across the organization.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the privacy policy framework, including guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Support privacy compliance within data-related projects to ensure adherence to regulations.
Assist affiliates in implementing and maintaining privacy governance processes.
Contribute to the strategic approach to data valorization initiatives.
Monitor and interpret evolving data privacy laws and case law, translating them into compliance practices to mitigate risks related to data breaches and regulatory disputes.
Your Profile
Education & Certification: Master's degree in Law or Information Security (with relevant privacy certifications such as IAPP, CIPP, etc.), or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data protection. Knowledge or experience in the telecom sector is a plus.
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations, with hands-on experience in GDPR implementation projects.
Digital Mindset: Passionate about developments in privacy, data regulation, and their impact on business.
Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and synthesis abilities to solve complex legal and compliance challenges.
Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high-quality standards under pressure.
Work Ethic: Hands-on, results-driven, adaptable, and disciplined, with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
Team Player: Open-minded, diplomatic, and able to collaborate effectively within a team.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
