Job Opportunity: Environmental Expert
Our Client: A Leading Energy Sector Company in Belgium

About the Role:
Our client, a key player in the Belgian energy sector, is seeking an Environmental Expert to support its Infrastructure and Environmental Departments. With numerous projects and permit renewals on the horizon, the demand for expertise in environmental matters is increasing. The selected consultant will play a vital role in ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability within infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
The consultant's tasks will be adapted to their expertise and the evolving needs of the team. The main areas of focus include soil and noise management, with additional responsibilities such as:
Monitoring the preparation of technical reports related to soil displacement
Providing advice on soil and water analysis results for soil displacement and dewatering in infrastructure projects
Reviewing notarial deeds for environmental considerations
Overseeing soil remediation projects and ensuring compliance
Supervising noise studies for infrastructure projects and permit renewals
Following up on Energy Performance of Buildings (EPB) studies
Supporting biodiversity studies
Analyzing permit conditions and integrating them into the environmental monitoring system
Monitoring environmental impact assessments
Overseeing stormwater and wastewater studies
Providing both technical/advisory and administrative support, including handling orders and procedures
Collaborating with an internal environmental expert to ensure seamless integration of environmental policies
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental matters
Environmental coordinator training is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of Flemish environmental legislation
Experience in administrative follow-up of environmental files
Fluency in Dutch (mandatory)
Proficiency in French and/or English (preferred)
