Role Overview
The Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Tribe, part of the Cyber Information Security Office (CISO) Division, is responsible for implementing, operating, and managing all access points within our client's IT infrastructure. The mission of the IDAM team is to ensure secure access at the right time and for the right purpose, aligned with rigorous compliance standards. The team oversees user lifecycle management, privileged access management, infrastructure management, and security advisory within the context of Identity and Access Management.
As a Business Analyst Expert, you will play a crucial role in delivering new systems or modifications to existing systems. This role combines core Business Analysis with Product Business Analysis responsibilities, contributing to the successful outcomes of the IDAM 2.0 Programme.
Key Objectives
Support Project Lead: Assist in defining project scope, understanding objectives, and navigating constraints within the Identity and Access Management field.
Requirements Gathering: Collect, structure, and document requirements into a comprehensive work product.
Acceptance Criteria: Define clear acceptance criteria to serve as a comprehensive testing framework.
Operating Model & Implementation Analysis: Review and refine the Target Operating Model, implementation approach, and migration strategy to ensure alignment with scope and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Feasibility Study Participation: Contribute to the initial feasibility study.
Requirement Gathering & Specification: Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to collect both functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Data Analysis: Define approaches for data analysis and cleansing.
Process Modelling: Document business processes using BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation) tools.
Solution Integration & Migration: Support solution integration and the migration strategy, accounting for the parallel operation of current and future processes.
Change Management Collaboration: Work with change management to ensure that deliverables are adopted successfully within the organization.
Security Impact Analysis: Assess new service developments' impact and security risks on existing systems, leveraging current security measures and identifying benefits.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between business units, IT teams, and key contributors during the project's delivery phase.
Testing & Validation: Define test strategies for requirements and participate in solution validation through testing, ensuring traceability.
Documentation Updates: Maintain up-to-date internal and external documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
Operational Readiness: Ensure the project solution is operationally ready for deployment.
Documentation Adherence: Use in-house methodologies to create clear and concise documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 5 years as a Senior Business Analyst, with proven ability to produce structured work products.
Identity Management Knowledge: Understanding of access (de)provisioning, role-based access control, JML (Joiner/Mover/Leaver) processes, ServiceNow integration, access control models, and protocols/standards such as SAML and OAuth.
Application Onboarding Experience: Hands-on experience onboarding applications into IAM tools.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to break down complex problems and make informed decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, from team members to senior management.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled in building relationships with stakeholders to meet their requirements.
Problem Solving & Solution Orientation: Demonstrated ability to identify root causes and develop high-quality solutions.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment with continuous changes.
Teamwork & Autonomy: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to operate within an agile environment.
Data Proficiency: Competency with data analysis tools, statistical data modelling, and visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
Data Governance: Understanding of data quality and governance principles.
Software Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, Tableau, and Power BI.
Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
IAM Regulations Knowledge: Awareness of current IAM regulations and standards.
Mainframe Knowledge: Familiarity with Mainframe systems and RACF.
Business Analysis Certifications: Certifications such as CBAP, ECBA, or CCBA.
Process Mapping Tools: Experience with business process modelling and process mapping tools (e.g., Adonis, Visio).
