We believe in the power of diversity: we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity, and better results.

Extending the Belgian Offshore Grid: The Princess Elisabeth Island Project
To contribute to Europe and Belgium's ambitions for the Energy Transition, the client plans to extend its offshore high-voltage grid with the Princess Elisabeth Island project. This grid will connect new Belgian wind farms within the "Princess Elisabeth Windfarm zone."

The project consists of:

The possibility to connect future HVDC interconnectors
HVDC connection (1 converter offshore, 1 converter onshore, HVDC cable system) between the artificial island and the new onshore substation of the Ventilus project
6x 220kV AC export cable systems of ~50 km each
Multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220 kV
An artificial energy island (with offshore transmission infrastructure)
An introduction to the project can be found online: https://youtu.be/nmcpIp_EnEQ

The project is currently in the tender stage, which will be followed by the detailed design and engineering phase and subsequently the onshore construction phase.
