Service Description:
As an Expert in Secondary Systems, you will take on technical responsibility within the Secondary Systems Expertise team, focusing on telecommunications. Your key responsibilities will include:

Drafting technical standards and specifications based on concept notes and guidelines for application in investment projects.
Managing existing framework agreements and guiding the technical aspects of new framework agreements, including market research, drafting technical specifications, analyzing offers, and engaging with suppliers.
Providing technical support and advice to project teams.
Developing and delivering technical training to operational units.
Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the secondary section of the client's substations.
Key Responsibilities as a Telecom Expert:

Oversee interfacing equipment between Secondary Systems (e.g., differential protections, teleprotections) and active telecommunications equipment (TDM, MPLS).
Manage the passive components of telecom equipment, including all necessary materials for optical fiber connections (fiber optic cables, HDPE ducts, fiber optic patch panels/patch cords, etc.) as well as copper Ethernet connections and 19-inch racks.
Collaborate with the datacom department responsible for the operational management of the telecommunications network.
Acquire and develop necessary technical expertise, with tasks evolving based on team needs and personal interests.
Requirements:

A degree in civil or industrial engineering in electricity or electromechanics.
Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English, both orally and in writing.
A pragmatic, customer-focused, and results-oriented approach.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with persuasive abilities.
Excellent analytical and synthesizing skills to clearly convey complex concepts.
Independent and proactive task management.
Proficient in MS Office; experience in the telecom domain (2-3 years) is preferred.
"Expert profile" with a commitment to deepening knowledge in the telecom field.
Proactive in seeking to expand technical knowledge, particularly regarding technologies and applications relevant to the client's operations.
Familiarity with necessary materials for optical fiber connections, including fiber optic cables, HDPE ducts, fiber optic patch panels/patch cords/pigtails, etc.
Additional Technical Knowledge (Preferred):

Experience in drafting technical specifications.
Familiarity with IEC standards (IEC 61300, IEC 61753, IEC 61754, IEC 61755, etc.) related to optical fiber.
General familiarity with IEC standards.
