Project: Flemish Government - Mid-Level Front-End Developer (IDM - VMS)

Overview:
The IDM (Identity Management) application is a key component used by the Flemish Government to manage user access for various applications. Within IDM, administrators appointed by the Flemish Government can manage permissions for individuals working under them. IDM forwards data to different resources, including ACM, which further handle access management.
Each year, our client in the IT Services sector collaborates with the Flemish Government to create a roadmap for implementing new business functionalities within the IDM application. Additionally, efforts are dedicated to technical improvements, bug fixes, and enhancements to streamline collaboration with other teams.
The IDM development team operates as a DEVOPS team, following Agile SCRUM methodologies. Key practices such as pair programming and code reviews are integral to their workflow.
We are looking for a motivated Frontend/Full Stack Developer to contribute to the development of technical and business functionalities. These functionalities are shaped by user stories defined during the earlier project phases. Experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, and similar platforms is highly recommended. While the development work primarily involves backend tasks, minor changes to the existing (Wicket) front-end may also be required.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, and React is essential.
Familiarity with AWS platforms, infrastructure as code, and Identity Management is a strong plus.
Prior experience in complex IT development projects is a bonus.
Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
Experience in Agile environments is beneficial.
Knowledge of Vue.js is an advantage and may lead to a contract extension.
Languages:
Fluent in Dutch (essential due to project documentation). Candidates who are fluent in English but have excellent comprehension and reading skills in Dutch are also considered.

Location: Hybrid working model - remote work with mandatory on-site presence in Mechelen and/or Brussels (typically on Mondays).
