Project/Department Description & Responsibilities
Our client in the insurance sector is seeking a Data Governance Officer (not to be confused with Data Protection Officer) to help enhance data maturity within the organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Data Governance Officer and Data Communications Consultant to develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy. Your expertise will contribute to crafting the data roadmap and support the team in engaging various stakeholders in this change management process.

Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Data Governance Officer, Data Communications Consultant, and Chief Data Officer, you will:

Define and implement the organization's data strategy.
Establish the data organization, assigning roles and responsibilities.
Set up data governance bodies and define processes, standards, and policies.
Build the foundation for data management processes such as data quality and data documentation.
Guide the selection of appropriate tools to support the transformation.
Technical Requirements

Proven experience in implementing data governance in a multi-entity organization.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and their practical application, including data quality and documentation (e.g., business glossary, data dictionary).
Experience implementing best practices, methodologies, and frameworks for data governance.
Knowledge of tools like Collibra or Informatica for data cataloguing, data quality, and documentation.
Understanding of data architecture and a basic knowledge of SQL.

Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
Ability to work both autonomously and in a project team setting.
Familiarity with project and process management, as well as change management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Coaching and training capabilities.
Experience in the healthcare and mutualities sector is an advantage.
Methodology/Certification Requirements

Certification in frameworks like DAMA DMBOK or DCAM is a plus.
Language Skills

Fluent in French or Dutch, with at least passive knowledge of the other language.
Proficient in English.
Additional Information

Mission Duration: Full-time, ASAP until end of 2024.
Location: Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days on-site in Anderlecht, Brussels).
