Service Description:

Our client's Server Team is looking for a Cloud Security Specialist to collaborate with engineers in developing, implementing, and overseeing cloud security solutions. This role focuses on securing and ensuring compliance for the Azure Cloud and future microservice platforms, while maintaining a resilient and secure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enforce security policies, including infrastructure-as-code security controls, compliance checks, and monitoring solutions.

Conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans in cloud environments.

Design and manage role-based access control, network segmentation, and identity management to ensure secure, least-privilege access.

Work with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.

Monitor cloud resources for security incidents, unauthorized access, and potential threats, and manage the response process.

Stay updated on emerging security threats and Azure security features, adapting the cloud security posture accordingly.

Support governance and compliance efforts related to frameworks like GDPR, Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark, and internal security policies.

Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure compliance with both cloud and corporate security standards.

Network Security Expertise: Strong understanding of firewalls, load balancers, VNETs, subnets, and routing for secure cloud operations.

Security Controls & Frameworks: Over 3 years of proven experience with Microsoft Azure security controls and frameworks. Azure Security certification is highly desirable.

HashiCorp Terraform & Sentinel: Hands-on experience using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code security enforcement and Sentinel for policy-as-code governance.

Cloud-Native Security Tools: Proficiency with Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and logging solutions for real-time threat detection.

Identity & Access Management (IAM): Expertise in Entra ID configurations, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access control.

Compliance & Regulations: Solid understanding of GDPR and other regulatory requirements for data protection in cloud environments.

Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell or Python for automating security tasks and generating reports.

Non-Technical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent planning and organizational skills with a security-first mindset.

Ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proactive, independent worker with a hands-on approach to cloud security.

Comfortable presenting security policies, risks, and mitigation strategies to management and stakeholders.

Fluent in English (knowledge of French, Dutch, or German is a plus).

Additional Information:

Location: Brussels and Namur, with the option to work remotely up to three days per week.

Onsite Presence: Due to the nature of our secure environment, partial onsite presence is required.
